INTRODUCTION

NOVENAS have long been a favorite form of prayer - doubtless because they are such an effective means of obtaining help in life's many needs. How many who have turned to prayer have found help in situations that would otherwise have been hopeless! The success of novenas may be due in large part to the persistence in carrying out for nine days in succession (or even longer). Our Lord's admnishes: "Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you!"
This collection of FAVORITE NOVENAS is designed to meet every need. The date of the saint's feast is given in each case, but novenas may be made at any time of the year.
The best novena, of course, is always linked with attendance of Holy Mass and the reception of Holy Communion and a good life. And just one word of caution: let your petitions be subject to the holy will of God, for only he knows whether the favor you ask for will ready be to your advantage. So leave the decision with him, and he will grant what is best for you.

Novena in Urgent Need To The Infant Jesus of Prague

(To be said at the same time for nine consecutive hours, or for nine days)

O JESUS, who have said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you," through the intercession of Mary, your most holy mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

Mention your request

O JESUS, "All that you ask of the Father in my Name, he will grant you," through the intercession of Mary, your most holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask the Father in your Name that my prayer be granted.

Mention your request.

O JESUS, who have said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass," through the intercession of Mary, your most holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

Mention your request.
